the machine is us/ing us

This video (4:33) is amazing… It is the result of a project lead by an assistant professor of cultural anthropology at Kansas State University who was working with a group of students studying digital ethnography (a branch of anthropology dealing with the scientific description of the digital culture). We’re using it as a supplemental piece in an organizational leadership course.

Approximately one year ago, Dr. Wesch created the piece in his basement in St. George, Kansas. Since then, it has been viewed by over 1.7 million people, translated into at least five languages, and shown to large audiences at major conferences on six continents…speaking volumes to which the content of the video can only hint.

Definite food for thought…
