its spring!!!

...'tis the season for light and yummy

Angel Lush Cake
.
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 pkg. (4 serving size) vanilla flavor instant pudding
1 cup thawed whipped topping
1 (10 oz.) prepared round angel food cake
seasonal berries
  • Mix pineapple and dry pudding mix in medium bowl.
  • Gently stir in whipped topping; let stand 5 minutes.
  • Cut cake horizontally into 3 layers.
  • Place bottom cake layer (cut side up) on serving plate.
  • Spread 1/3 of the pudding mixture onto cake layer.
  • Repeat layers two more times.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
  • Garnish with your favorite seasonal berries.

  1. Yummy! My mom makes a yellow cake version with cream cheese and pudding mixed, layered with drained pineapple then whipped topping.

  4. nope...i think the pudding counteracts any potential mushiness. its usually gone w/in a day or two, anyway! ; )
