Beef Stroganoff
(slow cooker recipe)
(slow cooker recipe)
.
1/2 cup flour
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp dry mustard
2 medium onions
mushrooms, sliced (to taste)
1 can (10.5 oz.) beef broth
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1/4 cup flour
hot noodles or fluffy rice
fresh minced parsley
- Trim excess fat from steak and cut into 3-inch strips about 1/2 inch wide.
- Combine 1/2 cup flour, the salt, pepper and dry mustard; toss with steak strips to coat thoroughly.
- Place coated steak strips in slow cooker; stir in onions (cut/diced into large pieces) and mushrooms.
- Add beef broth and wine; stir well.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours.
- Before serving, combine sour cream with 1/4 cup flour; stir into slow cooker.
- Serve stroganoff over noodles or rice; garnish with minced parsley.
This is a very forgiving recipe. Use more or less of any of the dry ingredients, wine, or sour cream...and it will be just fine!

Two thoughts:
ReplyDelete1. It's REALLY good on mashed potatoes...
