Whew! What a whirlwind of a weekend! We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving... spent with both Ed's family and mine. My parents drove down on Thursday morning and left Saturday, and we sure did pack a lot into a few short days. To begin with Mom's famous dipped pretzels... yummy! My mother has never met anything in a kitchen or garden that she is not absolutely a master of...
.
Ed and dad got into a bit of a plumbing project, as you can see in the images below. They do great work, don't you think?

The !exclamation points! of the weekend came in the form of a very entertaining game of dominoes, an upset Jayhawk victory over Mizzou on Saturday afternoon (Rock Chalk!)... a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert at the Sprint Center, and the first measureable (albeit, not much!) snow of the winter. Woo whooo!
.
A change of seasons, indeed, as we move from Thanksgiving, into the contemplative season of Advent and on to Christmas!!! Go gently into the holiday season and be good to yourselves...

How'd you get such cute plumbers?
ReplyDeleteDid you learn to play Mexican Train or traditional dominoes? Both fun.
ReplyDeleteMexican Train... it was a hoot! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe real test is not how good the plumber looks, but did it work well when they finished? I am going to tear into the kitchen this winter and redo the counters and the sink. Should be a fun time. We'll see. MUD
ReplyDeleteI have some plumbing work I could use some help with, did everything work when they were done?
