a prayer for a friend...

To those of you reading this today…I ask your thoughts and prayers for a very dear friend of ours as she undergoes a difficult surgery just after noon. We are on a remarkable journey with her…and above all, we know that it is what it is…nothing more, nothing less. We will move forward, together, with whatever we learn. Please pray for strength for our friend, and for her family and friends.

Almighty God, you know her inmost being,
the secrets of her body and soul.
Fill her heart with trust,
even as she and those who love her fear,
and bless the surgeons and nurses
and all who work to help and care.
Be near, gently sustaining her,
and supporting them in their skills.
