wordless wednesday

The backdrop in this photograph stands wordlessly (at 14,255 ft)…but there are a few details that make it interesting! This photo (or part of this photo) was actually taken the same day as the photo in my 7/25 Wordless Wednesday post.

In 1999, my brother David [to my left] and I summited Long’s Peak in Colorado. About ten years [or so] before that, David and our other brother, Philip (to my right), summited Long’s together. Although the three of us have not made the trek together, a techie friend of mine digitized both original traditional photographs, and then digitally inserted Philip into the photo of Dave and I. The image of Philip is actually from a photograph taken about fifteen years ago (?) in front of my parents’ home in Nebraska.
