In the business section of today's newspaper, there was a great article about a founder and CEO of a small research laboratory in the metropolitan area. The lab has been around for about seven years and employs about 100 people. The gist of the article was about ethics in the work place…and what this CEO feels are a vital set of ten work/life standards. The list of ten ‘vitals’ (below) was team-written at the workplace and is displayed throughout the building:
> Wisdom
> Responsibility
> Communication
> Persistence
> Discipline
> Manners
> Character
> Positive Attitude
> Compassion
> Celebration
and...my additions to the list would be... Integrity and Kindness.
Living and working by the same set of standards...
and celebrating them...what a great concept!
